Restoration of the University campus

Campus Luftbild

Dear readers,

Kiel University’s campus is currently undergoing some changes. Long overdue restorations and new building projects are being planned, and the first measures are being implemented. Bit by bit, this will result in new, modern, sustainable and disabled-access buildings, which will offer all University members and guests inspiring places to be and work.

Before the new buildings can be used, however, the campus faces various construction measures. These are associated with restrictions to paths, roads or passageways, as well as temporary interference from noise, dust and vibrations. This building portal will therefore contain an up-to-date overview of upcoming restrictions on campus, as well as insight into the building plans and progress.

Please observe the signposts on site at the same time, as well.

All construction measures will be coordinated and planned by the team at Kiel University's Facility Management, and implemented in close cooperation with the Gebäudemanagement Schleswig-Holstein (GMSH).

Kind regards,

Claudia Ricarda Meyer
Chancellor of Kiel University
